What are the signs and symptoms of the condition?

Blood in the urine may or may not be noticed by the affected person. A person who has blood in the urine sometimes has other symptoms, including:

  • bleeding in other areas of the body
  • difficulty urinating
  • fever
  • pain, while urinating or not, in the genitals, lower abdomen, flank, or back
  • weight loss
  • These and all other symptoms should be reported to the doctor.
