What are the signs and symptoms of the disease?

Following are some of the symptoms of oral cancer:

  • bleeding or numbness
  • a change in the voice
  • changes in taste or tongue sensation
  • difficulty swallowing or chewing
  • ear pain
  • limited tongue movement and speech impairment
  • loose teeth or ill-fitting dentures
  • a painful, enlarged lymph node in the neck
  • a painful or painless sore that does not heal
  • a red or white spot
  • a sore throat or the feeling that something is stuck in the throat
