USPHS (United States Public Health Service)

USPHS (United States Public Health Service): A part of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the USPHS is responsible for the public health of the American people. It administers a number of important health agencies including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
