(HealthDay News) -- Here are the latest clinical trials, courtesy of Thomson CenterWatch: Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) This study will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug in women to treat diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome. Women may be included who are at least 18 and who are willing to have an endoscopic and/or radiologic bowel evaluation, if they have not received one in the past five years. Participants may not have any serious medical or surgical condition, colon cancer, Crohn''s disease or ulcerative colitis, or be pregnant or breast feeding. The research site is in Laurel, Md. Eligible patients must have body psoriasis, such as on arms, legs, chest, or back. The study involves six office visits (some visits require blood draws) with a board-certified dermatologist, and includes free treatment for up to eight weeks, and compensation for time and travel. Volunteers at least 18 who are premenopausal and have a lack of desire to have sex may be included if these symptoms have persisted for six months or longer.
