(HealthDay News) -- It''s no secret that tobacco use isn''t good for you.

But here''s a list of exactly which illnesses it can cause or contribute to, courtesy of the Montgomery County, Md., Department of Health and Human Services:

  • Heart and vascular diseases.
  • Cancers of the mouth, lung, esophagus, larynx and bladder.
  • Chronic lung disease.
  • Intrauterine growth retardation.
  • Low birth weight babies.
