Health Tip: Symptoms of Enlarged Prostate

(HealthDay News) -- An enlarged prostate, medically referred to as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), occurs in most men as they age. It does not raise your risk for prostate cancer.

Here are the most common symptoms of BPH, courtesy of the U.S. National Library of Medicine:

• Difficulty starting to urinate.
• Weak stream while urinating.
• Strong, sudden need to urinate.
• Inability to urinate.
• Painful urination or bloody urine.
• Being unable to completely empty the bladder.
