(HealthDay News) -- Yoga is a 5000-year-old form of exercise that focuses on reducing stress, improving flexibility and relaxation, the Women''s Health Network says.

The network says tangible health benefits from practicing yoga may include:

  • Reducing anxiety.
  • For women, reducing some symptoms associated with menopause, pregnancy and menstruation.
  • Improving strength and flexibility, and increasing muscle tone.
  • Improving circulation.
