Health Tip: Kids Are Easy Sells

(HealthDayNews) -- It''s the responsibility of parents to make sure kids eat nutritious foods and maintain a healthy weight.

If your kids are begging for sugary, high-fat foods, they may be prompted by the flood of television commercials for candy and fast food, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notes.

Help tune out your children''s exposure to junk food ads by limiting their TV time to less than two hours a day, the agency advises. As a substitute, find fun activities to do together, both inside and outside the home.
