Health Tip: Signs You May Be Diabetic

(HealthDay News) -- About 20 million Americans have diabetes, but half of them don''t know they have it, according to the University Of Washington.

Signs and symptoms of diabetes include:

  • Frequent urination.
  • Always being thirsty or hungry.
  • Often feeling tired.
  • Blurred vision.
  • Slow wound healing.
  • Recurring urinary tract infections.
  • Obesity.

A family history of diabetes also increases a person''s risk.

If you''re concerned that you may have diabetes, tell your doctor. You can also take a screening test to determine your level of risk.
