Health Tip: Flu Can Kill

(HealthDay News) -- If the upcoming flu season is typical, 130,000 Americans could get the flu and up to 20,000 could die from it, the American Academy of Family Physicians says.

Certain people -- including infants, the elderly and those with chronic disease -- are considered at higher risk.

While a flu shot is the best preventive for most people, pregnant women and people with an allergy to eggs or who have had a past reaction to the vaccine should speak to their doctor first.
