Health Tip: Plastic Water Bottles Don't Contain Dioxins

(HealthDay News) -- Recent rumors circulating around the Internet suggest that freezing water in plastic bottles could release dioxins, compounds considered highly toxic.

But according to the Rolf Halden, an assistant researcher at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, there is no evidence to suggest there are dioxins in plastic water bottles.

Halden says you probably should be more concerned about the quality of the water stored inside the bottle than the quality of the bottle itself.
