Health Tip: Signs You've Had Too Much Caffeine

(HealthDay News) -- How do you know when you''ve downed one latte too many?

According to the Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research, the time to think about decaffeinating your diet occurs when:

  • You''ve become frequently restless, moody, anxious or irritable.
  • You''re having trouble sleeping.
  • You''re taking certain medications, like some antibiotics and herbal supplements, which can heighten the effects of caffeine by interfering with the body''s ability to process the chemical.

If you have any of these symptoms, cut back to two to four cups of coffee or caffeinated soft drinks per day, and see if that does the trick.
