Health Tip: Get Some Sleep

(HealthDay News) -- With our hectic lives, sometimes it''s hard to get to sleep, or stay asleep.

Some 70 million Americans experience some degree of sleeplessness every year, the U.S. National Institutes of Health says.

The agency recommends:

  • Go to sleep at the same time every night.
  • Exercise regularly, and at least three hours before bed.
  • Avoid caffeine late in the day.
  • If you have trouble falling asleep after 15 minutes, get up and read or watch TV until you feel sleepy.
