WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Hasbro Inc. agreed on Tuesday to voluntarily recall nearly 1 million of its toy Easy-Bake Ovens because children's hands can get caught in the opening, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.
The agency said there have been 29 reports of children getting hands and fingers caught in the oven's opening, including five instances in which they were burned.
The recall affects 985,000 of the Chinese-made purple and pink plastic toys that resemble kitchen ranges with four burners on top and a front-loading oven, the agency said. Only ovens sold before May 2006 are affected, it said.
